The objective of this class is to transform new and moderately-experienced gun owners into competent practitioners of the modern semi-automatic sporting rifle. The course will cover the following subjects:

-Carbine Nomenclature
-AR-15 Cycle of Operations
-Properly set a zero
-Body Positions and Muzzle Awareness
-Sight alignment, grip and trigger control
-Fundamentals of carbine loading and unloading
-Recoil management
-Carbine body mechanics deep dive
-Rifle presentation drills
-Target acquisition and vision training
-Follow-up shots
-Target transitions
-Basic Cleaning

Time Commitment: 2 3-hour days, for a total of 6 hours

Setting: Day 1: Classroom and range, Day 2: Range only.

Required Gear

-Ear protection
-Eye protection
-Suitable range attire
-AR-15 (if you have an unconventional rifle, please ask first before signing up for the class)
-Minimum 3 20-round rifle magazines
-250 rounds of ammunition
-1 rifle magazine pouch
-A sturdy tactical or competition belt
-Knee and elbow pads are highly recommended
