SUMMARY:

This class allows you to practice transitions from a rifle to a pistol and from a pistol to a rifle. We will also practice transitions from your strong side to your support side.

The ability to smoothly (and safely) transition between your rifle and pistol or from your strong side to your support side provides you with host of options that can be needed in a real life scenario.

We work on drills of close and long distance, cover or no cover, loading and unloading, clearing malfunctions / stoppages all the while being able to efficiently transition between your weapons in a live fire environment.

PREREQUISITES: All participants must complete the courses listed below before taking this class.

• Ready Gunner Handgun 1
• Ready Gunner Carbine 1
• Highly Recommended: NTAC Defensive Handgun 1 or Defensive Carbine 1

SETTING: Range Only

This class takes place in front of the normal shooting bays / firing line, using multiple shooting positions, moving, and transitioning from rifle to pistol, and loading and reloading.

REQUIRED GEAR:

• Eye and ear protection
• Pistol & Rifle Required
• Belt
• Holster and magazine carriers compatible with your pistol
• Sling and magazine carriers compatible with your rifle
• Minimum three magazines for BOTH your rifle and pistol (more is recommended)
• Long pants
• Closed-toe shoes
• Knee and elbow pads
• Minimum 150 rounds of pistol ammunition AND 250 rounds rifle ammunition
• No SERPA-style, nylon, or “sticky” holsters.
