6 hours — An introduction to drawing from the holster, drawing from concealment, shooting while moving, and more.

This course introduces students to important intermediate-level skills such as drawing from the holster and shooting while moving. This class enhances and builds upon fundamental skills taught in Beginner Handgun and adds new variations to help you gain more familiarity and confidence with your firearm. After reviewing safety and marksmanship fundamentals, this class will introduce more complex drills and scenarios, including drawing from the holster and concealment, shooting while moving, and an introduction to shooting from behind barricades.

Students will become more proficient, smooth, and confident with their marksmanship and gun handling skills, which will take them to the intermediate level and prepare them for Defensive Handgun and the advanced courses beyond.

Low Light Fundamentals (Skills Maintenance): Jun 10, 2026 | Layton

Tactical Penguin, Layton

2.5 hours — Practice using a handheld or weapons mounted light to clearly identify your target and shoot in low light situations.

Fighting in a diminished light capacity is difficult. In the modern world, there are low light areas even in broad daylight. These shadows and dark spots are a prime location for an adversary to attack you. Proper identification is an integral part of any armed encounter. The use of a light will assist with that proper identification in periods of darkness.
