Jacob is a husband, father of three, certified NRA instructor, and a Tactical Emergency Casualty Care–trained shooter who enjoys collecting and using surplus firearms.

Growing up Jacob didn’t have much exposure to firearms, seven years ago he dove into the world of firearms and has been hooked ever since. From knowing very little and being scared to even shoot a gun at the range he has come to know way more than he ever imagined. He now enjoys the opportunity to practice the skills he has gained through dozens of courses and training opportunities, and help others in their own firearms journey.

With years of professional software-teaching experience, including work as an adjunct professor, Jacob brings a friendly, patient, and approachable style to every class he teaches. His favorite part of instructing is witnessing those “aha!” moments—when students gain confidence and recognize their ability to handle firearms safely, responsibly, and skillfully.
