With a long passion for coaching and instruction, owning a hunting-based fitness company of 16 years, combining physical preparation, ethical hunting, and real-world experience to train new and novice hunters for success, Steven looks forward to expanding your abilities in the backcountry.
Steven Dahn is an experienced outdoorsman, educator, and the founder of the Backcountry Hunting Academy. With a strong background in Western hunting, wilderness survival, and public land access, he developed the Academy to equip first-time and novice hunters with the tools, mindset, and ethics needed to succeed in the backcountry.
Steven combines hands-on experience with a deep passion for teaching, offering instruction in everything from tag acquisition and fitness prep to gear selection, tracking, and meat processing.
