Beginner Handgun: Jul 7-8, 2026 | Orem TP6 hours — Designed to establish fundamental techniques and knowledge you need to be a safe and effective shooter, and establish correct habits that will set you up for success. You will learn how handguns function, safe handling, loading and unloading, how to grip your handgun, proper body position and stance, using your handgun's sights, hitting your target, etc.
This foundational course covers the fundamentals of handgun shooting. If you are a first time handgun owner or unsure how to hold your handgun, load your magazine, shoot what you are aiming at, or act in the range, this course is for you. We start in the classroom covering safety, range etiquette and proper stance to hit your target. The rest of the class will be on the range, and you will shoot up to 150 rounds of ammunition. You will leave with the foundational knowledge so you can come to the Handgun Proficiency class and feel prepared to learn additional skills. |

Beginner Rifle: Jul 7-8, 2026 | Layton6 hours — Designed to establish fundamental techniques: how modern sporting rifles or carbines function, safe handling, loading and unloading, how to hold your rifle, proper body position and stance, how to set a zero using various rifle sights, achieving consistent and accurate hits on your target, etc.
This course is designed to ensure you have an adequate foundation and understanding of safety, handling, and care, along with a new level of confidence in your ability handle and shoot your rifle. This class will provide an environment where you can openly ask questions about anything regarding your rifle. Others attending will be novice and beginner shooters with limited experience, the material covered is designed to be non-threatening and move at a pace that allows you to gain confidence and familiarity in your abilities. |
