Beginner Handgun
Designed to establish fundamental techniques and knowledge you need to be a safe and effective shooter, and establish correct habits that will set you up for success. How handguns function, safe handling, loading and unloading, how to grip your handgun, proper body position and stance, using your handgun's sights, accurately hitting your target, etc.
This foundational course covers the fundamentals of handgun shooting. If you are a first time handgun owner or unsure how to hold your handgun, load your magazine, shoot what you are aiming at, or act in the range, this course is for you. We start in the classroom covering safety, range etiquette and proper stance to hit your target. The rest of the class will be on the range, and you will shoot up to 150 rounds of ammunition. You will leave with the foundational knowledge so you can come to the Handgun Proficiency class and feel prepared to learn additional skills.
